Twaddled!

Set up the swift, oops, sorry, Yarn Twaddler and baller this afternoon and twaddled my first skein of yarn. It was the Manos del Uruguay I bought today to make a carrying case for my new baby laptop.

I didn't guess the right end of the yarn on the first try, but since there were only two choices, the second try was golden.

I know I don't know anything about yarn but why don't they do that before you buy it? For what ever reason they don't though looks like your new stuff works fantastic!

The yarn stores usually will ball yarn for their customers, but:
1. Sometimes they're busy so you have to wait a long time.
2. If you buy too much and it's already been balled, you can't take any extra skeins back to exchange.

I thought it was a load of fun. Why should the yarn shoppies have all the fun...working with the yarn, feeling it up, surrounded by, maybe even getting discounts. And watching the laws of physics in action!

Well, yeah, it is fun. The Engineer thinks it's pretty cool too -- ooh, mechanical device. I just have to make sure he doesn't decide it needs an internal combustion engine to save the user from turning the crank.
