It Grew...

I finally got around to blocking the Graduation Scarf -- mainly because I had a chance today to give it to the lovely graduate's Mom to pass along.

It grew!

Started out at a scant 8 inches wide and 6 feet long. By the time I'd blocked and fringed it, it was almost 9 inches wide by 8 feet, 2 inches long.

That's one dang long scarf!

Lots of wrapping there will be. Great color!

She absolutely loved it! She wrapped it around her neck and headed off to a Deer Valley concert (on a hot July night!) which says a whole lot...

She also commented - her words, not mine - you are amazingly talented and that maybe just maybe you could give me a lesson or two.

Now for the big thing. I've been trying to hammer home some grown up manners into that gal. So, please let me know if she sends you a thank you note. :))

Thanks for being so sweet to my kid!

Aw geeze, now I know why my Mom always knew if I'd done my thank you note duty or not -- I got ratted on by the recipients or non-recipients of said thank you notes.

Glad she liked it, it was only 2 and a half months late.

You are a talented woman yourself. Children simply never appreciate such things in their own parents.
